Sharklife conducts and supports long-term marine research in collaboration with universities, research institutions, conservation organisations and management authorities. Research conducted within the iSimangaliso Marine Protected Area operates under the appropriate approval and Research Agreement processes of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority. Depending on the project, additional DFFE research permits, university ethics approvals and other project-specific authorisations may also apply.
