Join Sharklife
As a non-profit marine conservation organisation (Est. 2005) Sharklife strives to increase the level of protection and compassion for sharks. Your membership donation enables Sharklife to continue its work on shark research, awareness and education projects.
“Members are the backbone of the organisation” In the field of marine conservation, sustainable changes to regulations, public attitudes and usable research outcomes can take years to achieve. Although project-based funding and once-off donations are incredibly valuable, it is monthly membership contributions that enable the organisation to drive long-term initiatives that have the greatest influence in shark conservation.
You are warmly invited to become a Sharklife member or Intern and, in doing so, contribute directly to a long-term conservation movement helping sharks.

Do a Shark Course
Understanding shark behaviour and biology is the first step towards conserving them and contributing to shark conservation efforts.
Designed for all ocean enthusiasts these short courses have a beginner to intermediate level of difficulty. The aim is to introduce the student to a range of five shark species and develop an understanding of their biology and behaviour.
The courses also discuss techniques for diving with different shark species and include a conservation section highlighting the threats facing sharks today.
Use Seafood Guides
The consumption of seafood at current volumes cannot be sustained. Destructive and wasteful fishing methods only serve to hasten the collapse of vulnerable marine environments and disrupt shark conservation efforts.
Check out the seafood guides on this page and ensure you always carry a copy with you or have one of the mobile apps at your fingertips.
